Swan Valley-Part 1

Someday I would love to have a place in Swan Valley. My great-grandpa farmed in Swan Valley and my Grandpa put a house up there and we call it "The Ranch." I can remember going to the Ranch with my Grandma and Grandpa to stay over night. We loved it. I am sure my mom didn't sleep knowing the Snake River was right in the backyard. My Grandpa passed away at the Ranch, and my Uncle also was killed in an accident up there.

A few weeks ago we stayed up there. It was a crazy busy weekend. My dad was asked to conduct a funeral, so we were all loaded to leave after the funeral. Our plan was to ride the Rhino's up to where my Uncle was in his accident, but it started pouring. Instead we went and got square-ice-cream cones. Yummy...although I was a little disappointed because my ice cream was freezer-burnt! What the heck?! They are famous for their ice cream! Sunday we got up and Dad and Mom made us breakfast. Then we left on our ride, it was about 40 miles.

Minor problem..the brakes locked up on the trailer. We had to stop our parade of pickups because thankfully Jadon noticed the smoke coming from the trailer.

The waterfall in Swan Valley

Nice glasses hun! He bought them at the square-ice-cream store:)

This was my Great-Grandpa's house. It is now owned by my dad's aunt.

Doesn't he look so tired??

He bought some glasses too:)

Dad made probably 20 sandwiches to take on the ride!

This is where my Uncle was coming down the road in the pouring rain, and his tires slid off the edge and rolled it down the hill. Some 4wheelers found him later.

You can see where the pickup hit the tree because the bark is gone. This happened August 2003. Nate and my Grandma put the wreath on the tree.

His pickup rolled all of the way to the bottom.

Addie is 16!

Yikes! She is getting old!! She is so cute...has such a cute personality.
After we stayed at the cabin, we got to stop by my parents house to celebrate! It was so nice to be part of the celebration:)

He looks thrilled...

A new keychain for the jeep!

Mom making pies for Addie. We are a little different, we don't really like cake so we do pie!

Colter patiently waiting for everyone to get home so we could eat dinner...and pie!

She thought the pie was all hers...she still hasn't learned the concept of sharing:) jk...

We gave her 16 presents...and they were all numbered.
Can you tell that I don't know how to put these pictures in order?? Sorry:)

Island Park Cabin

We got to go to Island Park for a weekend in March. It was nice to get away! We stayed in a really cute little cabin. I didn't think they would be very nice, but I was impressed. The cabin has its own grill on the patio and a hot tub. I would love to go back in the summer...hint hint:)

For some reason I can never be ready by "check-out" time...

Mother-Daughter

My Grandma and her daughters get together a few times a year and call it a "Mother Daughter" weekend. As you can see from the pics they are kind of crazy! Aren't they funny? hehe..

Aunt JeDeanne, Grandma, Aunt Carolyn and my Mom

This one is my favorite of my mom!!

Random...really random...

So I really don't have much to blog about but here are some really really random pictures from the past few months:) I hope everyone had a good Valentine's Day! I have had a cold for the past few days...so we just stayed home and Colter made dinner. He even surprised me with an Apple Pie! I love you:)

Colter making me my Valentine's Day dinner - tacos and homemade fries (He is cooking the fries in the garage because I hate the smell of grease in the house:)

At work I got a cute little surprise! My mom had sent us a Valentine!! She is so cute! She never forgets her kids on Valentine's. Thanks Mom! I love you!

She sent some goodies! She ALWAYS makes caramel popcorn hearts!

This was our Valentine's gift! We finally got a trailer! I am so excited:)

If you look at the next few photos you can see that Colter wouldn't let me take his picture, so I was trying to be mad...hehe

I hate it when he does this...you can kind of see the smirk on his face...

I think he was telling me that he loves me....I honestly don't think he meant to do it:)...I will pretend though!

We finally bought the much needed freezer! I love it! I am already filling it up!

Tafi...she wanted to come in the house where it was warm....but no no...

Colter spends hours "shopping" on ksl.com. It kind of drives me crazy!

This is me after teaching 14 Sunbeams...do I look like I could be in a bad mood???

Colter made me dinner after a busy day of work!

Notice it is homemade fries again! I think they might be his favorite:)

Just a random picture of Stich...she is getting so big. I didn't want a 2nd dog...so if anyone wants her, let me know...:) just kidding...Colter would be heart-broken!
♥ I loved looking at everyone's posts for Valentine's Day! ♥

Christmas and 2009

It has been a while since I have updated...
Here are a few pictures to share:) I don't know how to put them in the order I want, so I think most of the older pics are at the bottom. We enjoyed our Christmas and New Year. I think we are ready for a vacation because the last two years we have been on a cruise in December or January. With the crazy economy we will have to pass on the cruise this year:(...Instead we will stay here in the freezing fighting some type of illness! Lets just say we have spring fever and it is only January! I am just so grateful that I have a cozy home, a job and a loving husband!

Playing with our new camera

My daddy and I! We were all headed to a funeral, my dad got to speak at it...he did great!

My Favorite Brother...Jadon!

Jadon and Whitney...aren't they cute??

I love Colter all dressed up!

My adorable parents...

My mommy...can you tell it was picture time before we left?? Addie was at dance, and Kira and Tyler had already left for the funeral...so they missed out on the pictures!

Christmas Day...Colter loves this game! Anyone want to play?? It isn't too fun just the two of us playing:)

The mess after everything was opened...Colter spoiled me!

Watching Colter's Grandma open her present...a nice watch!

We let Colter open this on Christmas Eve...He was pretty excited..

Not the best pic...can you tell he wanted to watch TV??

PS...can anyone teach me how to make my pictures cute by making the edges "blurred" or by adding cute text in the picture...or even teach me how to do the digital scrapbooking stuff?? Or at least tell me where to go online to read about it? :)
